Cybersecurity Risk Assessment Framework for Externally Exposed Energy Delivery Systems

Securing the energy delivery system (EDS) from complex, nonlinear, and evolving cyber threats requires a complex set of changing interwoven classes technologies, policies, relationships, personnel. One key area in this technological milieu is assessment methodologies to compare information, gathered by variety means, about networked devices with publicly known possible threat information said devices. This used generate risk-based characterizations that allow for adjudication proper corresponding management action chains be assigned. \color{blue}To address current cybersecurity needs operational technology (OT) domain, we developed novel relative-risk framework software application called MEEDS can detect exposed OT systems. paper presents detailed architecture methodology its integral role software. The efficacy presented demonstrated testing real-world systems vulnerabilities pertaining industrial control (ICS) critical infrastructures.
